Persimmon Creek Campground

Tony and I believe in sustainable living.  We have built our home and the campground out of materials created by us or salvaged as much as possible.  To this end, we also began raising chickens for eggs.  Having found that we truly enjoy the chickens, we have now branched out into Nigerian Dwarf Goats for milk and entertainment.  We are spending this winter (2011/2012) building a beautiful barn from our own wood, as usual, and chain link fencing that we had salvaged and brought with us from GA.  We currently have 2 beautiful blue eyed does, 1  is 7 years old, and her granddaughter, who is 11 months right now.  We have named them Fiona and Idgy.  They are so high spirited and sweet.  We will be getting a buck next week, so we have high hopes for Spring or early Summer kids. Little Wishes Dixie Whiskey is settling in with us very well.  We will know later in February if Idgy is pregnant or not.  We would love to share our beautiful animals with our guests, and all of our adventures as we learn to milk our does, and make cheese and soap.   We hope that our young  at heart guests (no matter age) will get as big a kick from being around our animals as we do.  We look forward to seeing you here in our campground.
